Prior Post (February 7, 3 pm EST, 2015) We are uploading books throughout the weekend, that will go to the printers Monday. All pretty much is the same as with yesterday’s post.

Prior Post (February 6, noon EST, 2015) We have another large number of books going out today that should arrive well in advance of Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feb 14.

As to checking on status of orders, it’s best to email rather than call. We’ll search your question and get back with you via email.

Yes, there  IS still  time to order for Valentines Day in the USA with our STANDARD shipping, which is US Priority Mail. Out of country orders are unlikely to arrive by Feb. 14.

Yet, books ordered by Fe.b 7 carry no “guaranteed” delivery unless using EXPRESS  Shipping ($30).  Even then, please keep in mind weather delays are beyond our control. If you absolutely want to make sure the book is delivered by Valentine’s Day, choose Express Shipping – but please keep in mind that each book has to be handmade first which means you cannot order today and expect shipment tomorrow.

We advise you to to read the prior post about weather events, which seem to be moving across the country with each day. Our plants are in NY and IN, which receive snow and ice on a regular basis.

Prior Post: (February 5, 2015) Snow at the printing plant in NY has caused several delays because the staff and the shipping carriers have not be able to get in. That has eased up a bit, but has thrown off the production. We just clicked off a large batch of paperback books that were shipped today – most were sent to production Jan 30 and 31. We hope yours was among them. The hardback books are going out regularly now as well.

For now, all systems are go. Printed books ordered by Feb 7 should be delivered to USA addresses with Standard Shipping ($7) by Saturday, February 14, unless a severe weather problem occurs.

Sorry to say that it is getting less likely that orders for hardback books going outside the USA will be delivered by Val Day unless they are ordered with Global Express shipping.

Our position for books ordered by Feb 7 is that no order has “guaranteed” delivery unless it has Express Shipping ($30), and even then, if the weather prevents delivery, it is beyond our control. If you absolutely want to make sure the book is delivered by Val Day, choose Express Shipping – but please keep in mind that each book has to be handmade first.

Prior post: (January 29, 2015) Snow delayed shipping books in our New York plant for two days, but things are on track now.

Here’s how a manager put it:

“The storm didn’t dump much snow as in other places but it did shut down
UPS, FedX and the Post Office from picking up for two days. Of course our
workforce was also affected but we are full speed today (Jan 29) and will get
orders out today.”

If you are concerned about getting your book by Valentine’s Day, get your order in as soon as possible so you won’t have to worry about not getting your book on time. As it stands right now, our printers are planning on February 7th as the last day for receiving standard orders in the United States.

In the USA, printed books are normally arrive one week from the order date using standard shipping. Outside the USA will added extra days. Ebooks are delivered within hours of when you order. If you are looking for guaranteed delivery dates, you will have to choose the EXPRESS (USPS Express Mail) shipping method. STANDARD shipping (USPS Priority Mail) is not and has never been guaranteed for delivery.

Prior post (January 5, 2015) we are gearing up for Valentine’s Day, February 14, a Saturday this year. Get your orders in as soon as possible to avoid that last-minute rush and having to order with Express mail service.
