Second vampire eBook on sale

© 2010 YourNovel.com
We are delighted to announce the second eBook from Gail Gibbs, a continuation of her vampire series that began with “Vampire Rhapsody.” Twilight fans, take notice:

(April 27, 2010 – RALEIGH, NC) –  YourNovel.com, which lets any couple star in their own personalized romance novels, has announced that its second vampire eBook, “Fresh Blood,” is now available online. “Fresh Blood,” from Arizona author Gail Gibbs, continues the story she began in “Vampire Rhapsody,” her first vampire eBook for YourNovel.com.

As with all YourNovel.com books and eBooks, “Fresh Blood” can star any couple thanks to an online questionnaire of 26 details, including the couple’s names, hometown, places of work, eye and hair color, best friends’ names, favorite perfume and cologne, favorite music, how long they’ve been together, and more.

The eBook also can be ordered “wild” or “mild” in terms of the romantic interludes, as can all YourNovel.com titles.

In “Vampire Rhapsody,” the starring couple take a work/play vacation and encounter a pair of vampires who entice them into a game that tests the love of both couples. In “Fresh Blood,” the starring couple are invited back to Colorado to the premier of an opera and party hosted by their new, rich vampire friends. More surprises, twists, and turns provide plenty of action, and again love’s eternal power is put to a test, this time involving life and death. (It’s not necessary to have read the first eBook in order to follow “Fresh Blood.”)

Gibbs came to YourNovel.com through the company’s romance-writing contest in 2002 to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Ten winning short stories — including her “Passion Among the Stars,” a romantic story set in outer space — was published in the anthology “Celebrating Romance,” still available on the company website, www.yournovel.com.

Gibbs says, “After I was selected to be published in ‘Celebrating Romance,’ I gained the confidence to submit my efforts to the marketplace and have had other encouraging successes. I had a great time writing ‘Passion Among the Stars,’ so I was excited to get an opportunity to work on this longer eBook for YourNovel.com. Then when they asked for a second installment of the story, I was thrilled. Writing is now my full-time passion with the goal of developing it into a full-time career.”

Gibbs also has published short stories in Church Educator and AlienSkin online magazine, and short pieces in Natural Health and True Confessions. The first chapters of her unpublished science fiction novel placed second in the sci-fi/fantasy category of the 2007 SouthWest Writers Annual Contest. She is a member of Arizona Mystery Writers, the Tucson Saguaro Romance Writers, and the Society of Southwestern Authors, and won a commendation in their 2009 Writing Contest, including publication of her short story in The Story Teller. She also will have a story in the eBook version of the upcoming science fiction anthology Cheer Up, Universe.

After 25 years living in Silver City, NM, she and her husband of 28 years, Ron, moved just north of Tucson to Oro Valley, AZ, last year.

She met her own real-life sweetheart while working in the ore analysis lab of New Cornelia Mine at Ajo, AZ.

They have one daughter, Emily, who lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Jay David.

Gail Gibbs received a chemistry degree from the University of Arizona in 1978, and a business degree from Western New Mexico University in 1999. She’s worked a variety of jobs from mining labs to town clerk to non-profit accounting, and has written for her own enjoyment through it all.

“Working with YourNovel.com has been fun,” the author added. “The owners, who are themselves writers, have been very encouraging.”

YourNovel.com’s founders, Kathy M. Newbern and J.S. Fletcher, who form the husband/wife writing team Fletcher Newbern, have written 18 titles in the line-up. Their company originated personalized romance novels in 1992, and now has six additional writers.

“Fresh Blood,” available from www.YourNovel.com for $24.95, is currently on sale for $19.95, and is the fourth eBook the company has issued. It joins “Danger in Dublin” by Monica Hunt Ellison and “Buried Love” by Katie Brown, and of course Gibbs’ “Vampire Rhapsody.”

In all, YourNovel.com offers seven eBooks — other settings are ParisGreat Exuma in the Bahamas, Little Palm Island in FL, and The Reefs in Bermuda — and 26 full-length adventure-romance novels in either paperback (starting at $39.95) or hardback (starting at $84.95), and there’s the option to add a photo of the starring couple to the cover for $25 more. Paperbacks are generally delivered in one week in the U.S.; hardbacks take two weeks. But eBooks, once payment is approved, are quickly emailed to customers for their own download and printing.

The fastest way to order all titles is on the web at www.YourNovel.com. Those without Internet access can call (800) 444-3356 to have information faxed or mailed.

Kathy on John Boy & Billy (Mother’s Day)

At Valentine’s, Kathy had so much fun being on John Boy & Billy’s “The Big Show,” that she went on air again for Mother’s Day. The hosts of this nationally syndicated radio show had a blast, yet again, talking about how YourNovel.com can put you and your sweetie – the momma of your children – together in a romance novel.

Look who’s starring in a book

© 2010 YourNovel.com
Talk about getting into the spirit of things. Radio personalities Paul Fuller & Al Matthews went a little overboard (pun intended) when creating their photo to add to the cover of their personalized romance novel “High Seas Romance.”

Yes, it’s a story of a brave and dashing captain in the British Royal Navy (that’s Al channeling Johnny Depp) who must go wherever duty takes him. His true love (Paul, who gives bodice-buster unique meaning) seeks a way to avoid being left behind, and in doing so faces many challenges.

What follows is a swashbuckling adventure featuring exotic ports-of-call perfect for romance and a glimpse into a time where seemingly simple choices meant the difference between life and death.

Will our couple succumb to perils natural or manmade? Or will their love shelter them from the storm? Or will they set a new trend for Casual Friday?

Hear the interview with “The Paul & Al Show” on WHJY 94.1 Providence, RI.

Readers write and thank us

© 2010 YourNovel.com
One of the most rewarding things about running YourNovel.com is hearing from our readers who absolutely love the product.
At first, they are intrigued by the idea of starring together in a romance novel, but then, when they actually get a book in their hands (or an eBook via email), they write back with fabulous comments like this one from Debbie in Jackson, MO:

“Dear YourNovel.com – Wanted to tell you what a great Valentine your book was to my husband. We had a good laugh and were impressed by the size and look of the book. I ordered Heart of the Keys, which was perfect since we had been to Key West years ago. I could actually picture us there again while reading the book. Thank you for delivering the book in a timely manner and helping make it a great Valentine’s Day.”

Thank you, Debbie, for making our day!

YourNovel on ‘Walking on Air’

Betsy and Sal are a sister team on the syndicated, one-hour radio talk show “Walking on Air,” which they call “two parts chaos and one part spandex.” Their concept is simple: What do women talk about when they go walking? They are heard on radio stations from California and Iowa to Illinois, Virginia and North Carolina. We had a lot of fun chatting with them recently.

Second detective novel available

© 2009 YourNovel.com
We are delighted to announce the second book from Geno Vincenzo, a continuation of his Gal and Guy Private Eye Agency series that began with “Missed Tryst.” You become the sleuths in his new “A Reunion To Die For,” just released:

(January 14, 2010 – RALEIGH, NC) –  Love those old detective stories and film noir with the likes of Humphrey Bogart, Sidney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre? Well now you can star in a personalized detective novel, the second in a series from writer Geno Vincenzo and YourNovel.com.

The newly released “A Reunion To Die For” is Vincenzo’s second novel for YourNovel.com, where again, the starring couple are operators of the Gal and Guy Private Eye Agency. This time, the crime-solving twosome unwittingly find themselves in the middle of a class reunion in a cold clime where not all the participants are intent on rehashing the old days. The chance to cash in on someone else’s hard work is too much to resist for some people, and that’s when our hero and heroine find themselves involved in the revelry in ways they never expected.

YourNovel.com has been putting couples everywhere in their own personalized romance/adventure novels since 1992, now with 33 different books and eBooks to star in via an online questionnaire of 26 details, including the couple’s names, hometown, places of work, eye and hair color, best friends’ names, favorite perfume and cologne, favorite music, how long they’ve been together, and more. “A Reunion To Die For” can be ordered “wild” or “mild” in terms of the romantic interludes, as can all YourNovel.com titles.

This is the second time Geno Vincenzo has tackled the detective genre, with flair and fun, for YourNovel.com. His first book, “Missed Tryst,” was issued in 2007. At that time, he explained: “I have always loved a good detective story, especially those that dominated the genre in the ’40s and ’50s. ‘The Maltese Falcon’ was a favorite. Writing ‘Missed Tryst’ was like taking a time machine back to the ’40s and toasting the great comic and drama actors of the time, in black and white, of course.”

Vincenzo met YourNovel.com founders J.S. Fletcher and wife Kathy M. Newbern when they lived and worked on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. That’s where YourNovel.com  originated in 1992 and where Vincenzo still lives, in Manteo. Since then, Fletcher and Newbern, also authors for YourNovel.com, moved their company to Raleigh. Said Newbern, “We always stayed in touch, and were so happy when Geno produced ‘Missed Tryst,’ a great addition to our line-up and a good seller. So of course we’re really delighted that he’s delivered a second tale in the series because, as an author, he has such fun with his characters and story line that it makes a great romp for our readers.”

Vincenzo, originally from East Rochester, NY, retired in 2000 after eight years as an associate superintendent for Dare County Schools and more than 40 years as an educator. He still works as a consultant. He and his wife have two daughters and two grandchildren (who, incidentally, have cameo appearances in “A Reunion To Die For”). His other passions include reading, writing, playing golf and Italian cooking. ” My favorite title,” he adds, “is Grandpa, and my grandchildren, Patterson and Atticus are, along with my bride, Pat, my evening star and morning sun. I’ve spent a lifetime as an educator, from public school to university, but if you scratch me, just below the surface you will find the word ‘teacher.’ ”

“A Reunion To Die For” can be ordered in paperback, starting at $49.95, or hardback, starting at $94.95 (check online for sale prices). There’s also the option of uploading the starring couple’s photo to add to the book cover – “prefeably in trench coat,” Vincenzo joked. The fastest way to order this and all titles is on the web at www.YourNovel.com. Those without Internet access can call (800) 444-3356 to have information faxed or mailed. Paperbacks take a week in the U.S.; hardbacks take two weeks, and add $7 shipping/handling in the U.S. or $15 out of country for global priority mail. EBooks ($20) are delivered electronically and include a vampire story, a golf fantasy, and beach, Dublin and Paris settings, as well.

Mother\’s Day Surprises with Colby

Rach’s buddy Colby Donaldson has come up with some inspired (and inspiring) ideas for a Mother’s Day gift for any budget! “I know there’s a lot of pressure to pick the perfect gift on Mother’s Day,” says Colby. “I talk to my mom every day on the phone, but we live pretty far away from each other and I knew this year I really wanted to do something extra special and be together. And I don’t usually do this, but I went all out this year.”

“More than anything, Mother’s Day is all about creating a memory with your mom,” says Colby. “It may have been the best weekend of my life spending time with both my mom and my grandma. The hot air balloon ride was a real splurge, but I had been thinking about it for a few years.” At over $100 per person, a hot air balloon ride is a great gift to save up for, but Colby also has ideas for more immediate gifts that won’t put a strain on your pocket or your allowance. (Special thanks: Red Rock Balloons and Krazy Kyote ).

“Since I’m single and don’t have kids,” says Colby, “I went to my boys back home and asked them what they or their kids have given wives and mothers for Mother’s Day. My one buddy and his wife sent out a letter to friends and family members asking them to write a memory or send a picture about his grandmother. He also included a self-addressed stamped envelope. When he got all the responses back, his wife pasted them into a scrapbook and they presented it to the grandmother for Mother’s Day.”

Another friend of Colby’s has twin baby boys who can’t yet make their own presents for their mom. “So my friend bought a journal and wrote cards in it from the boys, with crayons and in child-like handwriting,” says Colby. “He also put in his wife’s favorite pictures of the boys so that they’re all in one place.” Leave some room in the book so that as your children grow, they can keep adding their own notes and messages in the journal as an ongoing Mother’s Day gift.

Even husbands need some inspiration for gifts to get their wives and Colby doesn’t leave them hanging!

“You can create your own steamy novel by going to this Web site and putting in your name and the name of your spouse, fill out a profile, select a destination and choose if you want the spicy or mild version of the novel and you’ll get a customized story,” says Colby. “Next you have to create the mood. After the kids are in bed, light some candles, draw her a bath and read her the story. This is a perfect gift for a late night Mother’s Day.”

“One of the best things for kids to make for their mom is a coupon book,” says Colby. “For dads, this is a great project to get your little ones involved in Mother’s Day. You can have your kids coloring coupons or making them on the computer.” Put a little spin on it and create coupons that go beyond the traditional chores and let you spend quality time with each other, like coupons for watching a movie together at home, making dinner, babysitting or spending an afternoon gardening or playing tennis with mom.

And you can never go wrong with having a child draw a picture (Rachael’s favorite!) for a Mother’s Day gift. Colby even shares one of the childhood drawing he made for his mom!

Colby believes that the perfect Mother’s Day is one in which you get the opportunity to spend time with your mom. “That’s a gift that doesn’t require money,” he says. “And I can’t stress enough that moms like being with you more than anything else.”

On the air with Ireland’s NewsTalk radio

moncrieffGood morning, Irleand, or in their case, good afternoon.
That’s how Kathy started the day here at YourNovel.com – on air with Sean Moncrieff, who has a daily afternoon show on NewsTalk 106-108 FM in Dublin.
The host was intrigued with the idea of couples starring together in a romance novel, so much so he gave it a test drive, ordering “Infectious Love” by Emily Dommershausen.
While Kathy chatted on air about 15 minutes, covering the wild and mild versions, how customers go about starring in their own novel and a bit about how she and Fletcher draw inspiration for their romance novels from their world travels, the climax (pun intended) was when a professional announcer read from the novel Sean had ordered.
Here’s a teaser: “Sean quickly shed his clothing and climbed into the shower … ‘You know I’ll always do whatever I can to help you relax…’ ”
Books come in hardback, paperback and some of the 50 offerings can be ordered as ebooks. There’s the option of adding a photo of the starring couple to the book’s cover. Novels make great birthday, wedding and anniversary gifts, are fun as anytime to say “I Love You” and are extremely popular come Valentine’s Day.

My Little House of Treasures blogger giving away novel

So we had one of these giveaways at Christmas and I really enjoyed the book I gave to my son and his wife. They enjoyed it very much as well, so when I was asked if I would like to do another one, I said yes because I have 3 sons so this book for Valentine’s day will go to my oldest son and his girlfriend.

These books are from www.yournovel.com,  (You can enter to win at http://mylittlehouseoftreasures.blogspot.ca/ – the deadline is Feb. 20.)

The book I ordered is set in Tahiti, and it is called “Island of Love”. Its a paperback book and has 191 pages.

Win a free plain paperback personalized romance novel like "Island of Love" which is set in Tahiti.

Win a free  personalized romance novel like “Island of Love” which is set in Tahiti.

It is a personalized novel, a tale of exotic romance and spine-tingling adventure set in Tahiti and the South Seas. Black pearls, black-sand beaches and the black hearts of villains intent on pillaging paradise all play a role.

From a luxury cruise ship, the starring couple embark on the vacation of a lifetime where swimming with dolphins on Moorea, showering under a waterfall near Papeete, and snorkeling along a secluded beach in Huahine are moments to savor. During the journey, they find their destiny rests in myth as deep as the blue Polynesian waters. Tahiti, the Island of Love, is the perfect setting for a love story where the action is of volcanic proportion. These books are personalized romance novels (you star in the books with your Hunny) are one-of-a-kind gifts that offer a distinct option that is much different from traditional gifts like roses (which wilt and die), chocolates (which contributes to weight gain), lingerie (which looks great once but gets tossed aside) or jewelry (which can cost more than a normal budget allows). In short they are fun, campy, sexy and romantic, and offer a unique experience: reading about yourself doing some pretty wild and crazy things in exotic settings.

These books are in 50-plus settings (with the newest release set in New York City). The books, which come as paperback, hardbacks, and ebooks, and the fun part – each one has a “wild” or “mild” version so you can choose how “spicy” you want the romantic interludes. I ordered the “mild” version for my one son and again for my oldest son. Seeing I read these books first, I didn’t want to pry into their bedroom so to speak. lol

They created the genre of personalized novels in 1992, and Valentine’s has been their busiest season of the year. They have been called “Computerized Cupids,” and the books tagged the “Ultimate Vanity Valentine.” They think both are appropriate. I have to agree.

You can choose from any of these Valentine books:https://yournovelblog.com/catalog/index/ValentinesFavorites I know you will find one here that you are going to love. So enter for your chance to win and decide who you want to give this book to. Maybe your significant other, a son and his wife, a daughter and her husband, you make the choice. The winner will get an email from the sponsor with a instructions for ordering your book along with the $50 Gift Card code.

Now I am going to go back and finish reading this book so I can mail it off to my son. He knows there is a surprise coming but has no clue what it is.

So enter today and good luck to everyone. I know you will love your book. for details, visit http://mylittlehouseoftreasures.blogspot.ca/
