Special Pages added to your book are written with love by you

YourNovel.com produces personalized romance novels, which make a very special gift, but there is a way to make them even more special, by adding Special Pages added to your book that you write and have printed in the book.

Write what you want into the personalized book you order from YourNovel.com

Write what you want into the personalized book you order from YourNovel.com

For a very personal way to express your thoughts and feelings, you can add additional pages to any of our books or ebooks. On these Special Pages, you can write whatever you want, and we’ll lay it out so that it’s in the same format as the rest of the book.

Special Pages are perfect for a number of occasions:
• to write a longer dedication page;
• salute someone retiring;
• include a poem you’ve written;
• offer words of advice or sympathy;
• tell someone how very much you love them;
• commemorate a special occasion;
• express thanks to someone for being a part of your life;
• or maybe you’re looking for a very unique way to propose marriage.

You can purchase as many pages as you want to say as much as you want.

The cost for this service is $25.00 per page, and one page consists of about 300 words — that’s about 30 lines with 8-12 words per line. You’ll be surprised at how much you can fit onto one page. If you have a lot to say and need more than a couple of pages, we’d be happy to work something out with the pricing.

This is a special service that is not automated, so you and we will have to complete a couple of steps to make sure what you want to say appears in print the way you’d like it.

Here is the basic process for Special Pages:
1. Order a book or ebook online.
2. Order this service online. (either with your book order or separately)
3. Prepare the text you want inserted.
4. We’ll email or call you with instructions on how to submit your text.

This process will add a little more time to your book production — usually an extra day or two — but imagine the surprise your effort will create. There really is power in words.

Here are a few samples of Special Pages messages that people have written for their books. Names and specifics have been modified.

To my Dearest Rainey,

I wish that I had all the right words to describe what you mean to me. You’re funny, smart, beautiful, and the best lover I could ever have. You took a chance with me when you said, “I do.” Thanks so much for that.

You changed my life. You brought me joy. You gave me hope.

Then something happened between us, something that made you even more beautiful. On July 27, 2008 at 2:57 am, you gave birth to our beautiful baby daughter, Mary Kay. You became more than a wife, a lover and a friend that day; you became the mother of our child.

Every day I thank God for bringing you into my life. I often think of the wonderful series of coincidences and events that brought us together: a cup of coffee at 7-11, which I spilled on your shoe; a thunderstorm that kept us inside; a phone number that did not work (my sloppy handwriting); a Google search; discovering we both loved “Field of Dreams” and “Bull Durham”; a night of nothing but cuddling; a spontaneous road trip; the first time you said I love you, which made my heart want to burst; and most of all, your smile when I told you the same thing.

I wish I could be with you right now, but, Rainey, always know I think of you every moment I’m here at the base and when I’m on patrol. I hope this book helps you think of me.

Take care of our baby girl, and always remember that I will never stop loving you.

The man who can’t wait to hold you again,

Bill

That’s just one example of what you can say. Here’s another one:

Aaron and Michelle,

This book is affectionately dedicated to you with the help of the husband & wife writing team, Kathy M. Newbern and J.S. Fletcher, who spend time traveling the world and writing romance novels.

In Shore Thing II, you both will star in the four featured novellas, which have been expressly personalized for you. While reading it, I hope it will bring to light that marriage is – as you are soon to find out – quite an adventure. And, like a good, planned trip, a lifelong union requires work – always being “present” and thoughtful to one another. Always looking out for each other. And remembering that the “Golden Rule” of life applies at all times.

From our hearts to yours, always know that the road to a wonderfully romantic, sexy and adventurous marriage is to listen – always pause – and hear what the other is saying. So, as you embark on this life journey together, it is with much love that we share our personal experience in what we believe has added extra spice to the mix of what we call life.

Let the festivities begin!

Enjoy! … and always, follow love.
It will get you through anything.

Your Aunt Ann and Uncle John

Another to give you an idea of what is possible:

Joe, we never discussed what could have been, for good reason: what we have now is all that matters.

Today, not with destiny nor chance but with a trip down a winding road, our life has been a path wrought with mistakes and, yes, a few regrets. But it’s finally found its true path, a home of sweet and blessed welcoming. Your arms and strength make me safe.

I remember that summer evening at the hotel in Ischia: there were unexpected fireworks and a warm ocean breeze. There was a party downstairs by the pool, but had not been invited to. Yet as the pyrotechnics blasted and then the band came on to play, it was like it was all done for us, like they were serenading us alone. The whole affair proved that life takes surprising turns, and we knew that this evening, and then the night, that wonderful, romantic hours we spent, taught us the we were special.

Eventually, my head rested on your shoulders, and we communicated without talking, just communicating with sighs of love and gratitude.

That night was definitely the best party we were never invited to, and it changed out life and awakened our minds to all that might happen.

So, My Darling, now our anniversary is evidence of a love that is special: it is true love, and I know God has blessed me, blessed us, and we can deal with anything.

All my love is yours, Jess

How about a poem?

Only Better
                for my Kathy

Vows, we took them to wed:
in sickness and in health,
for better or worse,
in debt and in wealth.

Words, we said them in truth:
“I’ll always love you.
I’ll stand by your side.
I’ll always be true.”

Aloud, we promised in public,
in front of friends,
before our families
professing a union without ends.

Rings, we exchanged with each other
showing all a commitment,
showing all we are one
bound by our Lord in a blessed event.

All witnessed our testament,
all joined in jubilation.
Since then we’ve lived our lives
as an example of celebration.

Vows are sacred,
as was my private promise to you:
“It will only get better.”
And it will till this world is through.

Bad times, good;
happy, sad; healthy, ill;
living examples of love
sanctified by Gods’ will.

Happy 18th anniversary!
Let our chapters continue.
A tribute to what can be,
the corners of earth our venue.

ILYF

For the Ages is set at Asheville’s Grove Park Inn – a great location for fall leaf color in the NC mountains.

Ah, autumn is in the air, and even though we love summer, this time of year is very special. The wind has a little coolness to it, the days are getting shorter, the romantic nights longer. Time for cuddling and snuggling, maybe in front of a fire pit or on the living room couch.

We just got back from a wedding in Virginia Beach, VA, that was held at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center – what a unique venue, right? The next morning, the newlyweds were on their way to Hawaii to start their marriage off in a very special way.

If you know a couple getting married, how about sending them on a honeymoon to Hawaii, in a book (Hawaii is Romance), where they become the stars of the story. It’s like sending them on that $10,000 honeymoon for less than $50, especially when you use this 15% off offer: use HonMoon15% when it asks for your promo code on the www.YourNovel.com site. We now have 50 titles to choose from, so you’re sure to find something that meets your needs.

You can use the code HonMoon15% until October 7, 2014, at 11:59 PM, EST. It may

be used as often as you’d like and can be shared with friends and family – put it on Twitter or your Facebook page if you’d like.

Chances are you or someone you know was married around this time of year. Regardless of whether it’s for a “paper” anniversary (paper is traditional gift for first-year anniversaries) or for that 50-year mark, give a lasting memory – of that special day and of you, the person who gave the lasting memento of the day.

Happy Anniversary to anyone having one. We’ve got a big one coming up in October ourselves.

Keep the love alive,
Kathy and Fletcher

Say, “I love you,” to your mom this Mother’s Day

Please remember to say, “I love you,” to your mom this Mother’s Day, which is this Sunday, May 11th.

If you are lucky, you can say it in person, but if distance keeps you apart – call, email or text the woman who brought you into this world. Kathy’s mom and mine have both passed, so and we so miss them. So for Mother’s Day, we simply say a prayer of thanks for them. Their being in our lives led to whom we are today. They were both very special ladies.

As to your mom, if you are looking for a thoughtful, unique, memorable present for her, consider making her the star she is in her own personalized ebook. We have nearly 30 of them to choose from – simply click here to see our complete ebook catalog.

There is plenty of time to order ebooks, which are delivered to your email within hours.

The discount code MomDay20% is still valid through midnight Sunday, May 11, 2014. With occasions like anniversaries, weddings and Father’s Day approaching, you’d be smart to place an order now.

For ebook buyers, here’s a neew code – YNEB$5 – for $5 off to use that will bring the cost of our $14.95 ebooks down to $9.95. Tip: Use MomDay20% if you are getting more than one or regular printed books.

In both cases, when asked for a Promotional Code, just type it in. These codes may be used as many times as you’d like and can be shared with friends, family and on your social media pages.

Show some love to your mom. It’s her day.

Blog review by Cassandra M’s Place

You can star in African Safari: Wild Life, Wild Love

You can star in African Safari: Wild Life, Wild Love

Cassandra chose to review African Safari: Wild Life, Wild Love for her blog Cassandra M’s Place.

She had fun with ordering and reading the book, which is what YourNovel.com is all about.

Here’s what she noted in her review: “I love personalizing this product. The story I choose was written wonderfully and the option to make it with mild (not passed light kissing and hugging) made this the perfect book to gift a family member. I know that they will not cringe when reading it and actually have a fun with it.  You do have the option to choose a wild story which is rated R in my opinion but some people like it spicy and this is supposed to be for adult couples not children.   The stories are made so you feel like your actually in them and not just penciled in like a mad lib and that is what makes these so special. The cover and quality of the paperback that I received was perfect and the shipping was super fast. I would highly recommend purchasing one for the loved one in your life.”

Cassandra is also giving away a $50 gift card to be used on the YourNovel.com website, so be sure to enter at Cassandra M’s Place. The deadline is 4/14/2014 2:00 PM EST. (THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED.)

Let the Good Times Roll

Let the Good Times Roll

We will never forget our Mardi Gras experience of riding on the Krewe of Orpheus, throwing beads for hours, the excitement that fills the streets of the city and the French Quarter, the cheering crowds begging for beads, the gala balls associated with the parades, the celebrities, and, of course, there’s Naw’lins itself, the self-proclaimed party capital of the world.

We had such a great time on our visit that we wrote this book and named it after the city’s year-round slogan, Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler, which translates to “Let the Good Times Roll.” You will share in some of those good times we had between the pages of this book, which stars you and your Hunny Bunny.

In the book, you’ll find yourself dining in the finest restaurants, exploring the French Quarter, watching parades and catching beads that lead to your big night: riding on a float during the Orpheus Parade, created by the life of the party and American Idol host – Harry Connick, Jr.

Yet as in all good books, there’s a twist to your fun and games: in the prickly heat of the voodoo-laced Big Easy, an itchy situation shows how precious your life together really is.

If you ever wanted to experience Mardi Gras, this is your book.

Here’s a link to a  YouTube video to show a bit of what is in the book.

Put yourself into your own romance novel

By Kristen Miranda – bio | email

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – After 26 years of marriage, Justine McAbee doesn’t expect much on February 14th.”No, Greg doesn’t usually do Valentine’s gifts,” McAbee said. However, a couple of years ago, her husband Greg surprised her.”I figured I might step up and try something different,” he told us.

That’s where Kathy Newbern and J.S. Fletcher enter this story. The couple are travel writers by trade and spend any time with them at all and you’ll see they’re very in love.

“It’s all about love. Love will get you through anything. It will lift you up and it makes you perfect,” Fletcher said.

This Raleigh-area couple has turned all of their travel experiences into a business called YourNovel.com. They say their relationship helps them to write the books.

They have penned dozens of fictional adventures set all over the world. The storylines can be customized to reflect the details of YOUR love life.

You simply choose where you want your romance set, answer some basic personal questions about yourself and your partner, and then make a choice between a mild romance, or a wild romance.

“Mild is a little hugging and kissing and with wild there’s a little more description about arms and hands and lips and fingers,” Newbern said.

You can even ask the couple to add a picture to the front cover of your book.

Greg opted for a wild romance on an Alaskan cruise because the couple had taken a similar cruise together.

Unfortunately, he made two mistakes. Greg said Justine’s eye color was brown but it is really green. Instead of her Chanel #5 perfume, he said her fragrance was Oil of Olay.

“The girls in book club just died over that one. They were laughing so hard,” she said.

Newbern and Fletcher believe their books help couples connect, or reconnect, in a fun way that is all their own.

“Light some candles, have a bubble bath, and read to each other,” Fletcher suggested.

Valentine’s Day is their busiest time but orders placed by February 7th should arrive in time. E-books start at $14 and the price for paperback and hard cover versions increase from there.

Reviewer Gives Thumbs Up to ‘A Ren Faire to Remember’

We’re excited here at YourNovel.com congratulating new writer Madhavi Krevat on the review of her new book on the website tyrneathem.com.

Tonya Ren Faire ReviewSince Tyrneathem, from the Gaelic, means “The Children of the Dragons,”  and blogger Tonya and her hubby love dragon artwork, and Madhavi’s book “A Ren Faire to Remember” may just incorporate one such magnificently scary creature, it’s a good match all around.

Blogger Tonya, who reviewed one YourNovel.com title previously, wrote, in part: “I enjoyed this title even more than the last. The fantasy aspect of this title had greater appeal to me, because it is one of my favorite genres and the story line was very interesting. I got lost in the story. Having the personal details of my husband and I woven into the book made the fantasy more engaging and complete. It’s amazing how much easier it is to lose yourself in a story when it’s your own names on the page.”

Read the full review here: http://bit.ly/Mh5kwL. If you’d like to enter to win a copy of the book, check out tyrneathem.com before Jan. 31, when the giveaway on Tonya’s site gets underway.

If you’d like to star in “A Ren Faire to Remember” this Valentine’s, visit YourNovel.com before Feb. 6.

Shipping update – Valentine’s 2014 – updated Saturday, February 15, 2014, 12:01 pm EST

As of Saturday, February 15, 2014, 12:01 pm EST:

We are now on our regular schedule. In the USA, printed books normally arrive about a week from when you order.

If you have questions about shipping, please read the prior posts for unedited material that was regularly posted to inform customers.

(Prior Post) As of Friday, February 14, 2014, 9:00 pm EST:

Happy Valentine’s Day!

At this time, we are shutting down ebooks for tonight.

(Prior Post) As of Thursday, February 13, 2014, 5:30 pm EST:

We hope all of you are safe and have power. It’s been a rough past couple of day for all of us. Our post office has put off delivering mail until – hopefully – tomorrow, and florists in our area have said they will not deliver on Valentine’s Day.

At this time, and if we have power, we will be making and delivering ebooks.

Pretty much has stayed the same as of yesterday, so you can read that post for more info.

And the best way to get up with us right now is by email. Be sure to give us your order number, and we’ll reply as soon as we can.

(Prior Post) As of Wednesday, February 12, 2014, 4:30 pm EST:

Like many of you, our customers, we here at YourNovel.com are in the midst of a winter snow storm with forecasters predicting possible power outages. Winter weather is likewise affecting our printing partners.

Please know that we will continue to respond to your email queries regarding Valentine’s shipments as long as we continue to have power. We know that those still awaiting book delivery are anxious to know if they’ll arrive by Valentine’s. As soon as our printers provide shipping info to us, we update our files and can respond to your email queries.

At this time, nearly every one of our printed has been posted and customers notified.

Also, if by chance your book doesn’t arrive by Valentine’s Day (though we certainly hope it does!), we have a card you can download to present that says something very special is on its way. Click here to open and print the gift card.

Most importantly, stay safe out there!

Valentine’s delivery (2/14/14) is not possible for anything but ebooks, which are deliver via email (as long as we have power) for Valentine’s Day, 2014.

You can read prior posts for more info.

(Prior Post) As of Tuesday, February 11, 2014, 9:30 pm EST:

We sent out another huge ship list of books that should arrive by Valentine’s Day. Yeah! With ice and snow here and across the South, we hope delivery does not get delayed. Our policy, as it has been for 22 years, on acts of God, remains the same.

At this time,

Valentine’s delivery (2/14/14) is not possible for

1) Out of country orders
2) Hardback books
3) Paperback books with photo added
4) Paperback
5) Printed books of any kind.

We will be able to deliver ebooks for Valentine’s Day, 2014.

(Prior Post) As of Tuesday, February 11, 2014, 9:30 am EST:

We had a huge shipping list yesterday and expect another one today. We will notify you via email when your book is mailed.

Valentine’s delivery (2/14/14) is not possible for

1) Out of country orders
2) Hardback books
3) Paperback books with photo added

Plain paperback books within the USA can be made and delivered by Valentine’s  if US Express shipping is selected as the method of shipping.

Our standing policy remains in effect: no refunds will be issued due to weather issues. You can read more about that policy in our prior posts.

Of course, because we are a year-round business, all orders will be accepted and made and delivered with our usual schedule – printed books with Standard shipping normally arrive a week after they are ordered.

Ebooks will be delivered via email within hours. We’ve  added a couple of new ones, so check out our ebook category in the pull down menu on the left side of our homepage or click HERE.

If you want your book by Valentine’s Day, you should us US Express shipping ($30).

In either case, if the weather prevents delivery, it is beyond our control and no refund will be issued. We advise you to you to read the prior posts about weather events, which seem to be moving across the country with each day.

Printed books for delivery out of the USA are not likely to arrive by Valentine’s Day.

(Prior Post) As of February 7, 2014, 9 pm EST,  YES, you can get books for delivery by Valentine’s Day (which is Friday, Feb 14) with standard shipping,  but we must remind you that standard US Priority shipping is NOT guaranteed for delivery by Val Day. Printed books ordered by Feb 7 should be delivered to USA addresses with Standard Shipping ($7), unless a severe weather problem occurs.

If you absolutely want to make sure the book is delivered by Val Day, choose Express Shipping.

We advise you to you to read the prior posts about weather events, which seem to be moving across the country with each day. Our plants are in NY and IN, which receive snow and ice on a regular basis.

It is unlikely that orders going outside the USA will be delivered by Val Day unless they are ordered with Global Express shipping.

Ebooks are delivered within hours.

Prior post from January 6, 2014

Chances are that you’ve heard about the two huge snowstorms that have swept across the nation to begin 2014. This is what we face each year when it comes to delivery of our printed books, and it is here on our blog that we try to keep you updated.

Our printers are located in snow zones, and delivery depends on planes flying and trucks being able to drive safely.

Weather and disasters are always beyond our power, and we hope all of us have none to be concerned with. However, we cannot be held accountable for delivery problems caused by circumstances beyond our control.

If you are concerned about getting your book by Valentine’s Day, get your order in as soon as possible so you won’t have to worry about not getting your book on time. As it stands right now, our printers are planning on February 7th as the last day for receiving standard orders in the United States.

In the USA, printed books are normally arrive one week from the order date using standard shipping. Outside the USA will added extra days. Ebooks are delivered within hours of when you order. If you are looking for guaranteed delivery dates, you will have to choose the EXPRESS (USPS Express Mail) shipping method. Shipping update for Christmas 2013

Think ebooks; we have 28 of them that are delivered within hours via your email.

(Entry on 12/18/13) As of today, Dec 18, 2013, we cannot guarantee Christmas delivery for any printed books – that said, paperback books with US Express shipping have a good chance of arriving by Dec 24.  It is unlikely that hardback books can be delivered. Ebooks will be delivered via email thru the 23rd. Both of our Christmas books – The Magic Snow Globes and Season’s Greetings, Season’s Love come in ebook versions.

(Entry on 12/13/13) After speaking with a United States Post Office representative this morning (Friday, December 13, 2013), we can report that orders for printed books that come in before December 17th should have no problem with delivery by December 24th, unless there are weather events that come into play.

If you need a printed book before then (or you are the type who worries about things), it would be best to choose the US Express service for guaranteed delivery.

Of course, ebooks can be delivered through December 23 via email.

So get your orders in asap. We’ll update as needed.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like … Valentine’s?

DSC_0108That’s right, it’s Valentine’s in December here at YourNovel.com. We unexpectantly had a film crew call to get a head start on their idea of a great Valentine’s feature — instead of the same-ole, same-old, put him or her in a personalized romance novel for Valentine’s Day.

We keep our smiles camera-ready (as shown DSC_0057here) and then rummage through our Valentine’s wardrobe: YourNovel.com logo dress shirts for him; a wide array of funky, fun sweaters for her.

We’ll keep you posted as to an air date, so check back here. And meanwhile, yes, we’re making plenty of romance novels for the holidays, too. Check out Season’s Greetings, Season’s Love and The Magic Snow Globes for starters.

Have yourself a Merry Little Everyday, whatever the occasion.
